This unusual 1960’s flat-roofed house in Newcastle was extensively altered and extended for the owner who wanted the old house to work efficiently for office uses.
Work focussed on a series of courtyards arranged around a principle courtyard which had a double-height winter garden and provided new vertical circulation. The quality of the design approach led to a number of design awards.
