JESMOND HOUSE

This project was a full house refurbishment of a Victorian terraced house.  The work involved opening up the whole of the downstairs as an open plan layout linking the original sitting room with the dining room which was underused.

In addition, the kitchen was refitted and a glass box was added in the rear yard to link the main rooms with the kitchen and which became the new dining area, which in turn opened out to the refurbished rear yard.

Two new bedrooms and a small shower room were added to the attic with a new stair which was specifically designed to feel like it was a natural extension of the existing main staircase rather than being an ‘add on’ which can so often be the case.
