A house extension and internal modifications in Brunton Park, Newcastle. The house enjoys a beautiful mature garden setting and the client wanted to create a new downstairs office that linked directly to the outdoor spaces.
A simple but elegant curving end wall to the new office creates a beautiful and calming work space, complete with walls completely lined with bookshelves and even incorporating secret bookcase doors linking to the rest of the house.
This project was luckily perhaps slightly ahead of it’s time with the events of 2020 making many people re-examine their work / life balance and the opportunity to work at home taking on more importance and relevance.
